How has Madibaz Radio / MadibazNews shaped and assisted you in your career now?: Having been part of both Madibaz Radio and Madibaz News as a news journalist has given me hands-on experience in print and broadcast journalism. As a Media student at the time, I got to practice the theory I learned in my course, which gave me a better understanding of this industry/field . Both plartforms have equipped me with the necessary skills and industry experience that comes in handy when applying for a job in this field after graduating.
What were the benefits of being part of Madibaz Radio or MadibazNews?: Attending important events/Functions as a media personnel. I got to meet industry professionals and had professional interactions with important people whom I never thought I'd interact with (E.g Members from all government spheres - local, Provincial, national and international) -Highlights being the G20 working group meeting, the District Development Model (DDM) conference. > Having my articles published for all students to read and my voice being heard on radio doing what I do best .
What would you like to share with the students currently working at Madibaz Radio / MadibazNews?:IT IS REAL WORK, SO TAKE IT VERY SERIOUSLY! Lol.. other than that enjoy, and learn. Use the platform to upskill yourself. Always remember why you joined and what you want to gain when you finally leave. CONGRATULATIONS FOR MAKING IT!!
